Meet Our Expert Dietitian: Noura Sheikhalzoor
At Kidssentials, we are proud to have Noura Sheikhalzoor as our lead dietitian. She plays a key role in making sure our meals are nutritious and meet high standards.
Noura has over 10 years of experience as a dietitian, working in areas like nutrition planning, meal development and early childhood care. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Dietetics from the United Arab Emirates University, completed a dietitian program at Ryerson University (now Toronto Metropolitan University), and earned a Master's degree in Nutrition from the University of Saskatchewan. Noura is also a Certified Diabetes Educator, Certified Bariatric Educator, and a Certified Natural Product Advisor. She’s currently working on becoming an Intuitive Eating Counsellor.
Noura’s love for food and science helps her create menus that are both healthy and enjoyable for children. Here’s how she contributes to our services:
- Menu Approval and Compliance: For Schools - Noura reviews our menus to ensure they meet Ontario’s Ministry of Education standards (PPM 150) and Canada’s Food Guide, making sure our meals are balanced and suitable for students.
- Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA) Compliance: For childcare centers and Montessori schools, Noura ensures our menus follow CCEYA guidelines, offering meals that are rich in protein, fresh fruits, and vegetables—perfect for children's growth.
- Nutritional Expertise: With her extensive experience, Noura creates and checks menus that meet health standards and cater to different dietary needs, ensuring every meal supports good health.
